AMIES Circle of Friends
Posted by Missy W. @ 5:49 AM
I got the cutest damn purse in the mail the other day from Jubily Boy (is that the best name or what?) of AMIES (that’s French for friends, yo). AMIES is a new product line of stationery, fashion and gift accessories that inspire girls’ youth, innocence and imagination all without the adult edge, like Bratz and Barbie.
As a mother of two girls (ages 4 yrs old and 1.5 yrs old), Jubily founded AMIES upon noticing a dire lack of age-appropriate merchandise available in the retail market for girls of all ages that reflect who they really are—young! She says, “AMIES collection is inspired by the friendship and fun many girls first share with their pets, and especially, with the most beloved pet in the world—their dog. The AMIES dog characters are sweet, silly, loyal and mischievous with a one-of-a-kind disposition and unique personality that mirror their young owners and inspire them to love themselves for who they are, and encourage them to do what they love most: be young, have fun and make friends.”
The website features all the dogs in the line and a little bit about them as well as downloadable posters and coloring pages.
OK, so let’s get on to that damn cute purse.
I received the green dog purse (pictured above). It’s a slightly padded canvas bag and well constructed. I like the candy apple green mixed with brown straps and interior. The purse has a magnet snap closure, so even Sy can open and close the bag. The interior lining is a water resistant, slick material, good for spills and sticky hands. It has enough room for the regular purse items and possibly even a small lovie for the younger set.
The purse line also has edgier skull purses, too. I bet my twelve year old neighbor would like that one. In fact, I’ll be offering this purse to her over the weekend. I’ll be curious if twelve is too old for the cute green dogs. Although for myself, begrudgingly in my mid-thirties, I love it!!! If my neighbor doesn’t want it, it’ll go to my niece at Christmas.
Believe you me, if I weren’t all into giving, it’d so be in my own closet.

His father was an architect for the London County Council, his mother a saleswoman for Madame Gray at Machinka & May, London; and then Madame Durrant on Dover Street, London. In his teens, he adopted his mother’s maiden name, Hardy - and always cited her as the inspiration for his chosen professional path.Toronto Gazebo
