Little Stork Helps You Pack for the Hospital
Posted by Missy W. @ 1:33 PM
Reader Kelly sent me a link to Little Stork, “your source for THE Premium Baby Delivery Bag.” I’ll admit I was skeptical at first, thinking, can’t we all just pack our own bags a month early and be done with it? But then I checked out their bags and laughed as I remembered that I packed a lot of trivial items like, uh, make-up. I must have confused myself with a famous person who is hounded by paparazzi as they leave the hospital. Because, you know, that’s soooo close to my reality. Needless to say, the eye shadow never left the bag. Little Stork’s bags seem to be well thought out with just the right amount of gear to drag into the hospital. The items go from the mundane (ponytail holders) to the luxurious (Soothies breast gels). Yes, I consider Soothies to be luxurious. Welcome to the glamorous world of breastfeeding.
The bags come in four options, each option has a different amount of gear, and even has a twin upgrade option for an extra $10.00. The bags are a bit pricey ($115.00 to $425.00)*, but like I said, I spent a lot of time and money packing a bag I hardly used, so this bag of goodies may just save you time and money after all. As an exhausted mom in the hospital, you may not have time to use the atomizer or make-up remover pads, but you’ll be thrilled to have lip balm and an overnight kit for your partner. Besides, there’s always time to smell good, and since you’ll never have time to shower again, you can use the lavender lotion later to mask the smell of spit up. I like the idea of just ordering the bag, adding some clothes, leaving it in the car, and as Little Stork’s site says, “dare your baby to come a week early.”
A group shower gift would offset the higher price point. I don’t know any soon-to-be mom who would not love to get a bag full of goodies for HER!
*Ooh! Little Stork is offering 10% off for Gearhead Mom readers. Just enter gear10 at check out and watch the dollars roll back. With all that money you are saving you can go out and buy something really exciting, like newborn diapers. Thanks, Little Stork (another rockin’ mom-powered company)!
