Why didn’t I see these $10.00 guard rails when I was looking at beds a couple of years ago? What a bargain! Why Ikea doesn’t sell these online is beyond me. Anyone have one? Are they sturdy enough? I’d love to use one with the next bed transition (that seems soooo far away).

It seems to be nice! I like what Johng wrote about it. I think such bed is very healthy for the spine. Not long ago I’ve watched a film about the spine (downloaded it from shared files SE http://filecraft.com ). It was advised to use beds with similar surface from the very first days.

- The picture above shows it mounted on a toddler bed, so in actuality, it’s quite small, but very useful and easy to install.
- Once clamped on, the feel is very tight and sturdy. But it is only as sturdy as the frame/rail it is clamped to.
- The clamps are designed to work within a thickness range of .75 to 1.00 inch. Measure the bed frame before you buy.
- I had it attached to the bed in under 8 minutes. IKEA provides two hex bolt wrenches in the package, so no tools are necessary.
