Calling All Star Wars Geeks
Posted by Missy W. @ 12:52 PM
This toy (so aptly named Darth Tater) is great for three year old hands to practice using fine motor skills as well as some fine R2D2 potato head masterpieces.
It’s also superb for any 35 year old Star Wars GEEK who happens to share the house with you.
We have the trio set, which includes enough pieces to make Darth Tater, Spud Trooper, and Artoo-Potatoo.
The trio set comes in a translucent potato body made up to look like Darth Tater. Inside are enough pieces to create many potato head works of art, with all the necessary accoutrements, including light sabers, robot parts and Vadar grill masks. It’s one of the most brilliant Potato Head avatars I have ever seen.
We got the trio as a gift when Sy was about 18 months old. It scared her so much we had to hide it in the back of the hall closet. I found it recently during a writer’s block-induced cleaning frenzy and pulled it out. Sy was stoked! She loves making “robots” with her dad and cracks up when she puts ears on as noses. The Vadar grill is no longer a cause of sobbing and one of her favorite “new” toys.
Go ahead, embrace geekdom and make some wicked Vadar Taters with your kids.
