Cool Toy Gratitude Week, Day 2
Posted by Missy W. @ 9:37 AM
Some of the toys that are the most beloved in our house are also the hokiest. Hokey with wheels. What a combo. The current hokey-wheeled favorite is the doll stroller. Nothing fancy, no bells and whistles, just four wheels and the capacity to take ones lovie wherever you may roam. What’s not perfect about that? I refer to the stroller as Helen of Troy because it currently launches more battles than any other item in our house. Well, it probably ties with the shopping cart.
Of course the kids are too big to ride in it, but that does not seem to stop them. Sy can climb in, buckle herself up and then insists that Kara push her down the hall at an alarming rate. You should see Kara take the turn from the hallway to the dining room with Sy on board. It’s impressive. It hasn’t ripped too badly…yet. We have an ugly, pink $10.00 version from Target which no longer has a label, so I can’t suggest it, but I’ll check next time I’m visiting the bullseye. There are some great ones from Maclaren. A couple of our friends have them and they stand up well to repeated spins around the block, pushed by manic toddlers. They are ridiculously expensive if you ask me, but they last a long time.
