The Ulti-Mat Bath Mat
Posted by Missy W. @ 3:46 AM
This goofily named bath mat is yet another item my pal Micky swears by for bath. I take her word for it on all things water-related since I’m pretty sure her daughter Kara is a direct mermaid descendant; that kid goes nuts any time she sees even a half inch of water. Micky tried out a few different mats but since Kara is such a water daredevil, she needed one that would help keep falls to a minimum. Enter the ultimate Ulti-Mat Bath Mat from One Step Ahead. The giant mat is 391/2"L x 16"W, so it covers nearly the entire tub bottom, eliminating most slippery spots.
Micky has had hers for almost three years now. No stains or curled edges; it still looks great. She washes it in hot water in the machine and sticks it back in the tub.
I’m thinking I’ll have to trade in my old Munchkin bath mat for one of these numbers. I have a hard time keeping it clean without using a lot of bleach, not something I’m a big fan of in Sy’s bathtub. The Ulti-Mat certainly lacks the sass appeal that our flip-flop shaped bath mat has, but I’d rather have safety over chic decor in the bathtub.
Snapshot:
• Keeps kids from slipping (as much) and when they do, they at least have some cushion to land upon.
• Machine washable, anti-bacterial, and mildew-resistant.
• Not for use with all-textured surfaces.
• 200 suction cups keep it firmly anchored.

Looks like a quality bath mat. I wonder if it will fit in my walk in tub or if they have other models?
