Your Very Own House of Bounce
Little Tikes Jump and Slide Bouncer

By Little Tikes

MSRP $249.99

Ages 3 yrs – 8 yrs

4 Faces

It’s birthday season around here and boy, was Saturday’s soiree off the hook. Micky outdid herself on Kara’s Pinwheel Party.* There were pinwheels galore, including pinwheel sandwiches, pinwheel decorations, pinwheel party favors - pinwheel barrettes for the girls and hats for the boys. It was all just too fabulous. But the item that most wowed the kids was that Kara got her very own bounce house. I’m not referring to the kind you rent, I’m talking to the super cool Jump N Slide Bouncer made by the folks at Little Tikes.

I was very sad that I was not 3 to 8 years old (not to mention about twenty months pregnant) because dang, did I want to go bounce in there! Micky had it filled with inflatable beach balls and the kids went bananas for it.

The bouncer is large, with outside dimensions of 9 x 12 x 6 feet, but that’s nothing compared to a real bounce house, so if you have a small yard like we do, this thing is an option. The inside dimensions measure 7 x 6 feet, which is just enough space for 3 kids to hop to the heart’s content without too many black eyes from high speed collisions.
Snapshot:
• You need a relatively big spot for this contraption (unit itself is 9 x 12 x 6 feet and I’m pretty sure that does not include the slide).
• The motor is not loud at all and kept the bouncer well inflated all day.
• Ages 3 to 8.  Bouncer can hold three kids max (weight limit 250 lbs), but there were definitely about six in there at one point and while it sagged a little, it was no worse for wear. That being said, I wouldn’t want to max it out very often. You’d be bummed if you popped this sucker.
• $35.00 shipping if you order it through Little Tikes, this thing is a bit cheaper via Amazon, as usual. If you have a Toys R Us near you, check to see if they have them in stock so you can avoid shipping altogether.
• The price tag keeps me from giving it five stars.
• SO MUCH FUN.
• SO MUCH FUN.

My cousin has one she bought at big lots for $99.00!  She blows it up in her living room for rainy day fun. The thought of OWNING a bounce house is just a little too Silver Spoons for me.  Of course, ask me again in 2 years when I have two kids between 3 and 8 bouncing off the walls.
